The Edge Of Reason

You Can Never Tell Which Way The Train Went By Looking At The Rails

'Merry ' Christmas?

Yesterday it was Christmas, lovely day and an even lovely festival.People all over the world go about wishing one another, what a lovely thing to do.I do the same. But was just wondering yesterday as to why people just wish you for Christmas and New Year and not for any other festival say Sankranthi or Ugaadi or Holi.
while many do , there are many who do not.I query, why not?
Am above all these, don't believe in God or any religion though.Still this is one thing that continues to amaze me any given day!
strange that people of all religions and faiths wish each other a Merry Christmas or a Happy New Year when it is actually a Christian New Year and CHRISTmas, sounds great when people celebrate each others festivals and awful that they don't do it when it comes to festivals of other religions!
The only reason I could figure out is that it's Western and many numskulls still find it cool to celebrate the festivals that Americans do!That is an awesome thing to do but at the same time why not a few of our festivals as well?
well...that's the way it was and that's way it is but I really hope that we could avert the 'will be' part of the clause!
